With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji, under the guidance of the respected Vice Chancellor of SBBSU, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Dean Academic and Dean UIE/UIH, Dr. Aneet Kumar, the Department of Fashion Designing organized a highly successful one-day intensive workshop titled "Glam Decoded: Runway to Reality Makeup & Styling".

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Vandana Goyal, a renowned professional from Beauty Academy, Phagwara, as the Resource Person. The event successfully bridged the gap between academic garment construction and industry-standard presentation by equipping fashion students with practical skills in conceptualizing, executing, and matching makeup aesthetics with thematic apparel collections.

Objectives of the Workshop

To introduce students to advanced skin preparation and professional product cosmetics.
To demonstrate specialized techniques for Day Wear, High-Fashion Runway, and Bridal looks.
To provide direct hands-on experience in portfolio building and model grooming.
To explore career opportunities in commercial styling, cinema, and entrepreneurship.

Event Schedule & Proceedings

Session 1: Inauguration and Theoretical Foundation

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by the Head of the Department of Fashion Designing, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The Resource Person delivered an informative presentation focusing on the fundamentals of professional makeup and styling.

Skin Analysis: Understanding colour theory, skin undertones, and selecting skin-friendly cosmetic products.

Session 2: Workshop Presentation & Learning Material

Scientific Skin Care & Preparation Protocols: Students learned that flawless makeup application depends upon proper skin preparation. The Resource Person explained methods of identifying skin types based on sebum production in the T-zone and cheeks before selecting cosmetic products.
Brush Mapping: A comprehensive demonstration of professional makeup brushes, their applications, maintenance, and sanitization protocols was conducted.
