With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji, under the valuable guidance of respected Vice Chancellor of SBBSU (Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, the students of the CSA Department successfully organized Slogan Writing and Ravan Making competitions on 25 September 2025, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, respectively.
Gandhi Jayanti, celebrated on 2nd October every year, commemorates the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The day highlights his timeless principles of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and self-discipline. To mark this occasion, a Slogan Writing Competition was organized to encourage students to reflect upon social responsibilities, national unity, peace, and moral values. Students from BCA and B.Sc. IT participated enthusiastically and presented meaningful slogans that reflected Gandhian ideals.
In addition, a Ravan Making Competition was organized on the occasion of Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil. The festival marks the triumph of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana and conveys the values of truth, righteousness, and justice. Students from B.Sc. Animation & Multimedia (AM), DMA, and BCA participated with great enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork. The participants showcased excellent artistic skills, and winners were rewarded with prizes.
The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Rajvir Kaur and Ms. Baljit Kaur. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Nirmal Kaur, Deputy Dean of the CSA Department. The event also received valuable support and encouragement from Ms. Rajwinder Kaur and Ms. Pritpal Kaur, Assistant Professors, who motivated and guided the students throughout the activities.
