The University Institute of Law, under the aegis of Under the Aegis of IQAC & (IIC) Institute Innovation Centre, SBBSU, has organized Constitution Day with great enthusiasm at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. The University Institute of Law conducted its celebrations on 26th November 2025 to ensure wider participation of students and faculty.
The event began with the Reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India, organised across all institutes of the University. Faculty members, staff, and students collectively participated in reaffirming their commitment to the ideals enshrined in the Constitution. A Workshop on the Constitution was also organised on the occasion. Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar (Vice Chancellor),Dr. Vijay Dhir Dean Academics and Dr. Pooja Bali, Dean, University Institute of Law, delivered an insightful talk on “The Constitution and Social Transformation in India.” The event began with a brief introduction by Dr. Pooja Bali UIL, who spoke about the significance of Constitution Day and the contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. This was followed by the reading of the Preamble, in which all students and staff participated with respect and sincerity.
A special quiz on constitutional values were organized to encourage student participation. Several students delivered inspiring speeches on the importance of democracy, equality, and justice in building a strong nation. Students actively registered for the Constitution Day Quiz, designed to enhance their understanding of constitutional values. Various activities conducted during the celebration were documented, and related photographs were uploaded on the University’s official social media platforms as well as on “Constitution75.com” to showcase participation at the national level.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of teachers, students, and organizers for making the event successful. Overall, the program was informative and helped students develop a deeper understanding of the Constitution and its guiding principles.

The celebration successfully promoted constitutional awareness and encouraged students to uphold the democratic values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
