Activity Report
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering and CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, successfully organized a vibrant โGreen Diwali Celebrationโ under the UCA Club.
The event was coordinated by Er. Hitakshi, Departmental Activity Incharge and Assistant Professor, CSE and CSE (AI & ML). The celebration aimed to encourage students to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly, sustainable, and creative way, promoting awareness about environmental protection while upholding the joy and cultural essence of the festival.
To integrate innovation and awareness with technology, the following technical competitions were conducted:

The Green Diwali Celebration was a grand success, marked by enthusiastic participation and creativity from students across both departments. The event promoted an eco-conscious mindset while maintaining the festive spirit of Diwali.
Students were honoured by Honโble Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji, Dean Academics Dr. Vijay Dhir, Secretary S. Hardaman Singh Minhas, and the Respected Deans of various faculties. All winners received an Award of Appreciation from the dignitaries as recognition of their talent and effort.
Following the felicitation, Er. Ramanpreet Kaur (COD, CSE), Er. Akashdeep Singh Rana (COD, CSE AI & ML), and Er. Hitakshi (Departmental Activity Incharge), along with other coordinators, honoured the winning students with gifts.
The event was organized successfully under the able guidance of Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, Dean UIET, whose continuous support ensured its smooth execution and success.
The Green Diwali Celebration beautifully blended festivity, creativity, and environmental awareness. Students actively participated in both cultural and technical events, expressing innovative ideas for a pollution-free and sustainable Diwali.
Through their presentations, students conveyed a strong message โ that festivals can be celebrated joyfully without harming nature. The success of the event reflects the collective effort of the organizers, faculty members, and students, making it a memorable celebration of light, learning, and sustainability.
