Name of the Resource Person: Ms. Anita Saini
The Department of Management and Hotel Management ofUniversity Institute of Commerce and Management, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar has organized “2-Days Workshop on Financial Literacy and Career Awareness”under the aegis of IQAC and IIC, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. The event was inaugurated with expert talk by the Expert of the dayMs. Anita Saini. The session was inaugurated with the pre-assessment quiz for the students.The renounced expert having the great experience of in the field of the Banking, finance and security market. In the 4 sessions she used the highly specialized knowledge about the money multiplying, generating investment alternatives. She explained the various events of the security market and alternative of the active and passive income by an individual.
Day 2:Name of the Resource Person: Mr. Nagesh (CS)
On the 2nd day the expert of the day Mr. Nagesh (CS) resumes the workshop, again the session have the 4 parts, aligned to the previous session. In the session the expert of the day Mr. Nagesh highlighted the key importance of the Securities and other investment patterns. The expert discuss the various key highlighted points of the investment into the companies. Moreover, the expert mentioned the procedure of issuing the IPO and importance of IPOs. Additionally, the session’s highlighted part was the Mutual fund and Asset Management companies. Lastly, the session further moves towards the end with various employment opportunities and certifications by the various intuitions including NISM. In the employment opportunities, the expert mentioned the various opportunities like banker, Mutual fund distributors, asset management companies etc.
Conclusion:
This workshop mainly focused on the enlightened the students with basics of securities market. The experts took the 8 sessions on the both days. The both days sessions divided further in 4 sessions per day, these sessions covered the various aspects of the income investment and returns. The expert talk was the highly interactive and numerous students discusses the various points and doubts with the experts. The workshop ends with the post-assessment quiz for the students which enables the students to uplift their knowledge in the securities market.
In the last Dr. Ajay Kumar Pathania Dy. Dean, UICM, facilitate the experts of the 2-days workshop on Financial Literacy and Career Awareness. Additionally, Dy. Dean congratulate and appreciate the students for their effort and enlightened the students with the importance of investment and motivate the students to understand the market, risk and to early start to earn money from Security Market additionally the efforts of Ms. Kuljeet Kaur (A.P. Management Department UICM, Stage Coordinator), Dr. Varinderjeet Singh (COD Management Department UICM, Activity Coordinator) and Dr. Gagandeep S. Salhan (A.P. Management Department UICM, Activity Co-Coordinator) were appreciated by the Dy. Dean for the organizing such an informative session.
