Introduction

In today’s highly interconnected world, consumers and investors are paying closer attention to the ethical conduct of businesses. A company’s reputation, long-term stability, and brand loyalty are deeply influenced by its commitment to transparent operations, social responsibility, and ethical business practices. Elements such as fair labor practices, environmental sustainability, data privacy, and honest marketing play a crucial role in shaping a startup’s journey. Overlooking these responsibilities may result in reputational loss, legal consequences, and even business failure.

Objectives

This activity, “Startup Plans and Business Ethics,” was designed to connect entrepreneurial aspirations with ethical responsibility. It encouraged participants to develop strong business strategies while critically evaluating the ethical implications of each decision. Name of the Resource Person: Dr. Jagwant Singh

The Department of Management and Hotel Management of the University Institute of Commerce and Management, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, organized an Expert Talk on Startup Plans and Business Ethics under the aegis of IQAC and IIC. The event began with insightful remarks by the expert speaker, Dr. Jagwant Singh.

The distinguished speaker discussed the history of business startups and entrepreneurship, highlighting the importance of organizing such workshops to guide and motivate students.
