Title: Reimagining Education: The Transformative Power of Experiential Learning across Disciplines

Objective

This initiative aimed to align with youth engagement initiatives through experiential learning programs (ELPs). The primary goals were:

• To promote the effectiveness of hands-on, experiential learning in physical sciences.
• To stimulate scientific curiosity through interactive experiences.
• To encourage critical thinking and creativity via participatory activities.

Key Activities

Interactive Physics Demonstrations

• Theme: Applied Physics: Hands-On Learning Modules
• Topics included demonstrations related to the Boltzmann constant.
• 6 participants actively engaged in hands-on modules.
• Participants reported improved understanding of physics applications.

Innovative Chemistry Experiments

• Theme: Experiential Chemistry: Practical Learning Sessions
• 8 participants conducted safe, guided experiments on acid-base titrations.
• Sessions emphasized observation and application of chemical concepts.
• Supervision and guidance were provided by experienced faculty members.

Conclusion

The event was a resounding success, effectively promoting the value of experiential learning. It stimulated curiosity, fostered critical thinking, and demonstrated the Department of Physical Sciences’ commitment to innovative educational practices. These efforts align with youth engagement goals and contribute to the vision of the My Bharat Portal.
