With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji & able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, and under the aegis of IQAC, Department of Physical Sciences, University Institute of Sciences celebrated the National Earth Day on May 06, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The overarching theme for this year's observance is "Earth Day Every Day: Embedding Environmental Responsibility into Daily Life." This theme underscores the critical need to integrate sustainable practices into our routine activities and foster a continuous commitment to environmental stewardship. Objectives of the Event: The primary objectives of this National Earth Day celebration was to raise awareness about the importance of environmental responsibility in everyday life, to encourage practical actions that contribute to environmental conservation and to foster a long-term culture of eco-consciousness within the institution. The event was started with the welcome speech of the activity incharge Dr. Sonia. As a part of the event, students of the department participated enthusiastically in the various organized activities. The prizes were distributed to all the participants of the different activities for their sincere efforts. At last, student’s efforts were appreciated by Dr. Honey Sharma (CoD Physical Sciences) and Dr. Shweta Singh Dean (UIS). This event will serve as a significant step towards fostering a more environmentally conscious and responsible institutional community. The activities were designed to be both informative and engaging, promoting awareness, encouraging practical action, and ultimately contributing to a long-term culture of eco-consciousness.
