Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is one of the most important and widely celebrated festivals in India. The word “Diwali” means a row of lamps, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. The festival is celebrated with immense joy, enthusiasm, and devotion across the country and among Indian communities worldwide.
Diwali commemorates various historical and spiritual events, including the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana, the worship of Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity and well-being, and the victory of righteousness. On this occasion, homes and surroundings are cleaned and decorated with diyas, candles, rangoli, and lights, creating an atmosphere of positivity, happiness, and unity.
Students from B.Sc. Animation & Multimedia (AM), MCA, B.Sc. IT, and BCA participated enthusiastically in the competitions. The participants displayed remarkable creativity, artistic talent, and teamwork through their beautifully designed rangoli patterns, innovative greeting cards, and creatively decorated diyas. The competitions encouraged cultural awareness and provided a platform for students to express their creativity. Winners were appreciated and rewarded with prizes.
