Awareness Programme on Issues Related to Women Empowerment

1. Objectives of the Activity

• To increase awareness about women's rights, safety, and empowerment.
• To sensitize participants on gender equality and social issues affecting women.
• To promote respectful behaviour, confidence-building, and inclusiveness.

2. Description of the Activity

The department organized an Awareness Programme on Issues Related to Women Empowerment with the aim of educating students about various challenges faced by women in society. The session began with a welcome address, followed by a keynote talk that highlighted important topics such as gender equality, legal rights of women, safety measures, health and hygiene, and the importance of education and skill development for young women.

Interactive activities such as question–answer sessions and sharing of real-life experiences allowed participants to express their thoughts and understand different perspectives. The event successfully engaged students, creating an atmosphere of awareness, empathy, and motivation.

• Gender equality and elimination of stereotypes
• Safety and legal rights (POSH Act, cyber safety, etc.)
