With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji and Reverend Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), and with the benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor Sant Manmohan Singh ji, and under the valuable guidance of Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, the Department of Training and Placement (T&P) of the Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized ‘2ndMega Job Fest’ on 30thApril, 2024 (Tuesday)in the campus. As per tradition of the University, the Mega Job Fest was commenced with Shabd Gayan by Mr. Kailash Atwal and Mr. Navpreet Singh followed by the Lamp Lighting by Sant Manmohan Singh Ji (Honourable Chancellor,SBBSU), Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar (Honorable Vice-Chancellor, SBBSU) and other dignitaries. During inauguration session, Sant Manmohan Singh Ji shared the glorious history, vision and mission behind the genesis of Sant Baba Bhag Singh Educational Complex (SBBSEC) and the University. Further, Sant Manmohan Singh Ji emphasised that Sant Baba Bhag Singh University is an esteemed educational platform committed to foster the interests of the students and ensures their placement and holistic development. The Mega Job Fest was declared open by Sant Manmohan Singh Ji.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University mentioned that such placement drives are beneficial for the students to become self-reliant and connect with the potential employers. Dr. Parmar said that idea of initiating such large-scale campus placement drives exclusively for the alumni and passing out students of the Sant Baba Bhag Singh University is a wonderful opportunity for the students of this University. Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Baba Janak Singh Ji, Sant Manmohan Singh Ji (Honourable Chancellor), and other esteemed members of the management of the SBBSEC including S. Hardaman Singh Minhas (Honourable Secretary of SBBSEC) and S. Manpreet Singh (Member, SBBSMCS) for their support. He also appreciated Dr. Jagteshwar Singh (T&P officer) and Mr. Harminder Singh (Assistant TPO) from the Department of Training & Placements, and their team for executing well-coordinated Mega Job Fest in the premises of the Sant Baba Bhag Singh University.
Dr. Jagteshwar Singh (TPO) informed that more than 850 students from 2022 (pass out), 2023 (pass out) and 2024 (passing out) batches of the University registered and appeared in this first mega campus placement drive. In this initiative, twenty reputed placement companies and institutions came for the selection of the students. Dr. Jagteshwar Singh (TPO) and Mr. Harminder Singh (Assistant TPO) briefed that the executives from the companies viz., Saini Physiotherapy, RegisterKaro, Hoping Minds, Solitaire Infosys Pvt Ltd, Menrol, O7 Services Pvt Ltd, A Star Power & Swichgear, Axis Bank, WD Group, ICICI Bank, Shrimann Hospital, Decathlon, Nivia, Albasir Industries, BJS Home Delivery, RedCliffe Labs, Jonex, St. Manu's Convent School, GMA City Public School, and Achivers Academyvisited the campus for conducting the interviews and selection of the students at the University. The students of various streams like B. Tech. (all streams), B. Sc. (Medical), B. Sc. (Non-Medical), B.Sc. (MLS/MRIT), BHMCT, B.Sc. (ATHM), B.Sc. (IT), BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA, B.Com, M.Com, B.A., B. P. Ed, BPES, B.Sc. (FD) and M.Sc. (FD) were highly enthusiastic and well-prepared to face the interviews.
As a result of the meticulous efforts and confidence of the students, more than 75 students were selected and offered jobs during this 2nd Mega Job Fest. RegisterKaro company offered the highest package of 8 LPA.The event was successfully concluded by the distribution of offer letters to the selected candidates and by a vote of thanks by Dr. Jagteshwar Singh. He acknowledged the relentless efforts of all the faculty members and students involved in the thriving organization of this placement drive. For the unceasing hospitality services, Dr. Jagteshwar Singh expressed his gratitude to Mr. Pawan Kumar of the Department of Hotel Management and his whole staff of committed instructors and studentsDuring the Mega Job Fest, Dr. Aneet Kumar (Registrar), Dr. Vijay Dhir (Dean Academics), Mr. Roop Singh (Dy. Registrar), and Deans of Institutes were also present. Ms. Surinder Kaur (UIH) conducted the stage. Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Vice-Chancellor, commended the companies, their executives, and students for their active participation in this drive. He congratulated all the placed students and urged them to actively participate in such activities for their complete growth and development as learners.
