Extension Activity on Energy Efficiency

Objective(s):

• To enhance awareness level amongst the public on following benefits of energy efficiency
• Environmental: Increased efficiency can lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other pollutants, as well as decrease water use.
• Economic: Improving energy efficiency can lower individual utility bills, create jobs, and help stabilize electricity prices and volatility.
• Utility System Benefits: Energy efficiency can provide long-term benefits by lowering overall electricity demand, thus reducing the need to invest in new electricity generation and transmission infrastructure.
• Risk Management: Energy efficiency also helps diversify utility resource portfolios and can be a hedge against uncertainty associated with fluctuating fuel prices.

• The Electrical Engineering Department, UIET, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University (SBBSU), Jalandhar, organized an extension activity on the topic “Energy Efficiency” on 24th May, 2022.
• A total of 40 students from the EE department participated in the extension activity.
• The villagers were familiarized with the concept of Energy Efficiency and its benefits.

Department of Physical Education organized adventure cum education tour held at Jari, Kasol (H.P) on dated 08/03/2024 to 10/03/2024.The tour departure from Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Khiala, Jalandhar at 10:00pm Night and arrival The Bharat Scout & Guide Camp Jari, Kasol at 08:30am.Total no of Students 47, (Boys 34, Girls 13) and 07 teachers were part of this tour.......
