With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh ji and Sant Baba Dlawar Singh ji (Brahm Ji) and benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji and under the guidance of worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar and able leadership of Dean Academics, Dr. Vijay Dhir and Dean UIET, Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, the department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a three day workshop on “Pathways to success: Exploring career counseling, IPR, Research Methodology and Entrepreneurship” under the aegis of IQAC and IIC.
The Resource person for the workshop was Dr. Brijesh Bakariya, Assistant Professor & Head CSE department, IKG PTU Hoshiarpur and R.S. Salaria, Professor in CSE department, GNI, Hyderabad.
The speakers enlightened the students about the role of innovation, emerging technologies, their potential benefits and need of patents. They briefly covered various phases of Research Methodology and need of entrepreneurship and its importance for economic development and in nation building.
The outcome of the workshop was that students were able to gain knowledge of trademarks, copyright, Design, Patent and Trade secrets. They also learnt the skills needed to become a good entrepreneur. Students who wanted to pursue their career in research were able to get insight on various steps involved in Research.
