Extension Activity on “Methods and Importance of Environmental Conservation”

Objectives:
-To familiarize the attendees with the methods and importance of environmental conservation
The Electrical Engineering Department, UIET, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University (SBBSU), Jalandhar in collaboration with Social Welfare & Awareness Society (Regd), organized an extension activity on the topic “Methods and Importance of Environmental Conservation” on 22nd March, 2024. A total of 5 students and 2 faculty members organized the extension activity at Vill.: Takhani, Hoshiarpur. It has become inherently important to work towards environmental conservation in contemporary times. The following points elucidate this crucial need to save the environment from further degradation:
-To reduce air, water and land pollution
-To facilitate the conservation of natural resources for our future generations
-To ensure the protection of biodiversity
-To implement sustainable development
-To restore the ecological balance
-To save our planet from harmful repercussions of global warming
Furthermore, following methods of environment conservation were discussed:
-Forest Conservation
-Soil Conservation
-Waste Management
-Public Awareness
-Pollution Control

The aim of this camp was to create awareness regarding Physiotherapy treatment and services among common people and its role in prevention of further damages to the body. NCC UNIT of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Jalandhar organized an Extension Activity in Khanaura village.
