Department of Education, UIE celebrated National Science Day on February 28, 2024 to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect by renowned Indian physicist C.V. Raman. Three types of competitions were organized namely Powerpoint presentation competition, Poster presentation competition and Rangoli making competition. Students presented the PPTs on the themes of quantum dots and generation of attosecond pulses to study electron dynamics in matter. Poster presentation and rangoli making was also related to scientific sub-themes. Nancy Bansal, student of B.Ed. second semester was adjudged first in powerpoint presentation competition, Lovely from B.Ed. second semester and Simranjeet Kaur from B.Ed. fourth semester were jointly declared as winners of poster presentation competition while Anjali and Gurveen Kaur, both from B.Ed. second semester were the winners of rangoli making competition. Gifts were presented to the winners as a token of appreciation for their efforts. Dr. Aneet Kumar, Dean UIE appreciated the students for their participation. Dr. Aneet Kumar, Dean UIE, Dr. Mandeep Singh, Dy. Dean UIE, Dr. Harpreet Singh, HoD Humanities, Dr. Amritpal Singh, Dr. Mohan Lal, Ms. Parmjit Kaur, Ms. Rajveer Kaur, Ms. Kulwinder Kaur, Ms. Shalu Mahey and Mr. Anmol Preet Pal Singh were present during the event. Ms. Rajvir Kaur and Ms. Rinky from FD department acted as judges for the event.
