Webinar on “Navigating the Evolving landscape of Conversational AI for Digital Health”

With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh ji and Sant Baba Dlawar Singh ji (Brahm ji) and benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji and under the able guidance of Respected Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharamjit Singh Parmar, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, under the aegis of IIC, IQAC and UCA club, organized one day webinar on “Navigating the Evolving landscape of Conversational AI for Digital Health”.
The resource person of the event, Mr. Abhisek Tiwari is a Research scholar (Prime Minister Research Fellow) in Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Patna. His research interests include AI for Social Good, NLP, typically Conversational AI, and RL. He is also serving as a guest lecturer at NSIT Bihta, India. His research works have been published in reputed conferences, such as CIKM, IJCNLP, and peer-reviewed journals. Mr. Abhisek Tiwari has delivered several tutorials, including the GIAN Course on DL Techniques for Conversational AI, and conducted birds-of-a-feather sessions at top-tier conferences such as ACL, ICLR, and NeurIPS.
He discussed various challenges in developing Artificial Intelligence based System in Health care. The aim of the webinar was to present a comprehensive overview of the use of conversational agents in healthcare, including recent advancements and future prospects. He also demonstrated the newly developed virtual disease diagnosis assistant, designed by him. He discussed upon some pressing challenges to the adoption of AI in healthcare, such as Reliability, Explainability, and Safety (RES) as well as discussed possible remedies to accelerate progress in this area.
The students and the faculty were able to understand challenges of implementing AI in health sector and the possible solutions to these challenges.
