With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh ji and Reverend Sant Baba Dlawar Singh ji (Brahm ji), and with the benign patronage of our Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji and under the spirited leadership of our Vice-Chancellor, Prof.(Dr.)Dharmjit Singh Parmar ji, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar under the aegis of MHRD’s Institute Innovation Council and IQAC, organized the Viksit Bharat@2047 event on 11th December 2023 and arranged the live telecast of the event in the university seminar hall. All the participants were able to watch the event live on screen available in seminar hall. More than 50 faculty members and 200 students attended the live event through the web link.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi emphasised the crucial role of educational institutions in personality development and the nation’s overall development. Prime Minister expressed best wishes for the success of the Voice of Youth workshop, underscoring its significance in the present era, according to an official release.
The initiative aims to provide a platform to the youth of the country for contributing ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The Prime Minister emphasized that India is currently in a crucial period, referred to as ‘Amrit Kaal,’ golden age, where the nation has the opportunity to make significant strides in its development. Drawing inspiration from other countries that experienced rapid development, he stressed that this is the opportune moment for India to take a quantum leap. Referring to the historical struggle for freedom, he highlighted the motivation derived from past movements such as Satyagrah, non-cooperation and educational reforms. The Prime Minister urged institutions and individuals to align their efforts and resolutions towards the goal of a developed India. He called on teachers and universities to focus on accelerating the country’s development and identify specific sectors for improvement, the release mentioned. Besides this the Prime Minister also urged the integration of all streams towards building a developed India. He announced the launch of an Ideas Portal for Viksit Bharat, encouraging suggestions on five different themes with prizes for the top 10 ideas.
The key take away from the event was to focus on accelerating the country’s development by providing a platform to the youth of the country for contributing ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047
