Problem Solving And Ideation

One Day Online workshop on the topic “PROBLEM SOLVING AND IDEATION” was organized by UIE and UIH in collaboration with Students’ Counselling Cell and IIC, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Khiala, Jalandhar. Dr. Mohua Khosla, Associate Professor (Retd.), Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana, Punjab, India and Dr. Gurmit Singh, Associate Professor, Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana, Punjab, India were the resource persons for the event. Dr. Mohua Khosla has served as an Associate Professor at Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana, and Punjab, India. She has 34 years of teaching experience in the field of Education. She has a Ph.D. in the field of Education from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. She has participated and presented papers in numerous national and international conferences and has been working as a reviewer and assessor of research papers at the national and international level. She has also been supervising and guiding research dissertations at the M.Ed. and Ph.D. level. Educational Psychology, Educational Research and Statistics and Educational Measurement and Evaluation are her primary areas of research. Dr. Gurmit Singh is Fellow Panjab University, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Medical Science and Faculty of Business Management and Commerce in Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Dr. Shaveta Sharma, University Counsellor, welcomed and introduced the resource persons. Dr. Mohua Khosla gave presentation on Problem Solving and How to Solve Problems. She explained steps of Problem solving. Dr. Gurmit Singh gave presentation on Ideation. His lecture was focused on generation of ideas. He also emphasized the steps for Ideation. He also presented and shared his thoughts over Innovation and Critical Thinking Skills. He also ideated students with stepwise solutions to problems along with real life examples. He gave broad range of potential solutions to a particular challenge. Nearly, 80 participants (students and faculty members) from various departments joined the seminar. Positive feedback was received from the audience. The resource person thanked the organizers for arranging the seminar. Mr. Anmol Preet Pal Singh and Dr. Mandeep Singh, Institute Coordinators (Students’ Counselling Cell) were also present. Session was followed by question and answer session. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Convener of the programme.
