Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on 5th September to commemorate the birth of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The day is celebrated to honor and express gratitude to the dedicated educators who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of society.
This year, the students of Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences celebrated Teachers Day with great enthusiasm.
The day commenced with a speech by Ms Shivali, a student of BSc MLS 5th semester highlighting the contributions of teachers in one’s life. In her speech, she highlighted the role of teachers as educators and mentors in student’s life.
On this very special occasion, students showcased their talents through various cultural performances such as songs, dancing (varied styles) and skits dedicated to their teachers. These performances by students were very entertaining and heartfelt reflecting the love and respect that they hold for their teachers.
Students also expressed their appreciation by presenting flowers and a small token of gratitude to their teachers.
Students also organized fun games and activities for teachers to foster a sense of unity among teachers and students.
Some teachers also gave inspirational talks emphasizing the significance of education and mentorship.
Overall, the Teacher'sDay celebration was a heartwarming and memorable event. The love, respect and appreciation expressed by the students towards their teachers were truly touching and left everyone with a renewed sense of commitment to education.
