National Science Day 2023

Day-1
With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), the benign endorsement of Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji (Chancellor, SBBSU) and under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar (Vice-Chancellor, SBBSU), Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences, UIS, SBBSU (under the aegis of IQAC& IIC SBBSU) has celebrated National Science Day 2023 with great enthusiasm on 27th and 28th February 2023.
The day brought together the individuals from all walks of life, promoted cultural awareness, encouraged creativity and highlighted the importance of education.
On this occasion, the department successfully conducted various activities such as Expert talk, PPT Presentations, Rangoli Competition and Skit.
There were more than 100 participants from different disciplines of department of Life Sciences & Allied Health Sciences, SBBSU.
On the first day (27th March 2023), The discipline of Radiology successfully organized an Expert Talk on “Role of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Modern Medical Practice Era”.
The resource person for the event was Mr Raushan Singh, Assistant Professor-Radiology and imaging technology, TMU Moradabad.
Expert Talk was commenced with the welcome address by Ms. Piyushi Yadav, Assistant Professor-Radiology and Imaging Technology-SBBSU followed by the lamp lighting and floral welcome of the resource person by worthy Vice Chancellor, SBBSU.
In his talk, Expert discussed the importance of MRI in Musculo-skeleton injuries, Brain stokes, PIVD etc. He also highlighted the contraindications of MRI. In addition, he addressed the advantages of MRI in current medical essentials.
This Expert Talk was highly informative and a guiding track for radiology & imaging technology students.
In the post lunch session, students gave presentations and displayed model and posters covering a wide range of topics, from science and technology to social and environmental issues.
Finally, the Rangoli competition added an explosion of colors to the celebrations. Participants showcased their creativity as they drew intricate and beautiful designs using colored powder, highlighting the traditional and artistic abilities of the country's people.
The first day session was concluded with the Vote of thanks by Dr Shweta Singh, Dean UIS.
Day - 2

In continuation of celebration of National Science Day 2023, the students of discipline of Radiology from department of Life Sciences & Allied Health Science enthralled the audience with their performances on scientific skits depicting the message “Vigyan Hai Tho Vikas Hai” and "Agyanta se nata Todo, Vigyan se nata Jodo".
The skit performances were particularly impressive, with participants showcasing their acting skills while highlighting the importance of education and breaking free from ignorance.
Another important aspect of the skits was the message that science is not just a subject to be studied in classrooms but also a way of life. It encourages students to inculcate scientific thinking and a desire for innovation, leading to more robust and sustainable solutions for the challenges facing society.
Overall, The National Science Day celebration was a huge success, promoting cultural awareness, encouraging creativity and highlighting the importance of education. The event was a true testament to the diversity, talent, and creativity of the students.
Winners of all activities were awarded with Certificates.
