Medical Diagnosis Camp (2023)

SANT SAMAGAM AND AMRIT SANCHAR program was organised on 16th March 2023 at DERA SANTPURA, JABBAR, Villlage Manko. Thousands of followers of Dera Sahib come here on this day to pay obeisance on the occasion.
 Department of Life Sciences, Allied Health Sciences & Agriculture Sciences, under the Aegis of IQAC and Institutional Innovation Cell (IIC) organized “FREE MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS CAMP” to provide free healthcare and diagnostic services to the camp visitors and local residents.
The camp was inaugurated with ARDAAS by the Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji (Honorable Chancellor of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University).
The other dignitaries Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, S. Hardaman Singh Minhas Ji (Secretary, SBBSMCS), Dr Shweta Singh (Head of Department, Life Sciences) Coordinator and faculty members of the department of Life Sciences & Allied Health Sciences were also present to grace the occasion.
The two faculty members Ms. Satvir Kaur and Ms. Kamaldeep Kaur along with 26 students participated as volunteers in the camp and assisted in registration, general health checkup including BP monitoring and blood collection of the camp visitors.
Various diagnostic tests such as ABO blood grouping, blood glucose level, rheumatoid arthritis etc. were carried out.
Around 50 people were benefited from the camp. Majority of them were tested for blood grouping and blood sugar level.
Diabetic patients were motivated for regular monitoring of their blood sugar level. They were guided to consume more food with low glycemic index to keep their sugar level under control.
Overall; the camp was wrapped up on a successful note.

Visit to JSS Ashakiran Special School
