One day Seminar on Doubling of farmers income for increasing livelihood security and productivity

With the Heavenly Blessings of Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji, and under the supervision and patronage of Hon’ble Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Department of Agriculture organized one day seminar on the topic “Doubling of farmers income for increasing livelihood security and productivity” under the leadership of Incharge Promotional Activities Dr. Shalu Rani and all the faculty members of Agriculture Department. The speaker of the seminar Prof. Dr. Dileep Kachroo gave a detailed account of the concept of Integrated Farming as a tool for doubling of farmer’s income. He explained that how in Integrated Farming System, agriculture is integrated with livestock, poultry and fishery and how the whole system is maintained at the same place to generate employment and income. B.Sc. and M.Sc. students of different classes were present in large number and had the experience of face to face interaction with the subject expert. The entire faculty of Agriculture Department including Prof. Dr. P.S.Tyagi, Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Dr. Vijay Singh, Dr. Akhilesh Singh, Dr. Manisha, Ms. Kamaldeep Kaur, participated in the seminar.
