Intramural Yoga

The Department of Physical Education, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, organised an Intramural (Yoga Session) on March 23rd, 2023. In this event, Yoga competition was held in which the students of Department of Physical Education actively participated with 30 men and 20 women yogis who were divided into four houses and was organised in the evening session. In this yoga session, no of asanas for men were 7 and women were 6. The inauguration of Yoga was done by Dr. Amarjeet Singh, head of the Department of Physical Education.
In this competition, the official team of three observers were Dr. K. P. S. Mahi, Mr. Aijaz Bashir and Mr. Sharanpreet Singh submitted the result in which Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House stood at first place, Sahibzada Ajit Singh House at second and Sahibzada Fateh Singh House at third in Men section; while Sahibzada Ajit Singh House stood at first, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House at second and Sahibzada Fateh Singh House at third in Women section. Now, the overall result is that the Ajit Singh House stood at first place with score 56, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House at second place with score 53 and Sahibzada Fateh Singh House at third place with score 50.
At the end, Mr. Ajiz Bashir proposed a formal vote of thanks to the worthy Chief Guest and all faculty members. He also congratulated the convenors of this event, Dr. K.P.S Mahi, Associate Professor and Mr. Prabhjot Singh, Assistant Professor for successfully organising the event.
