The Day-2 of University Youth Festival ‘YUVA-22’ began with arrival of galaxy of stars at open main stage in the ground of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar. The second day of University Youth Festival YUVA 2022, was commenced as per tradition, with the Shabad Kirtan followed by Ardaas by Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Sant Manmohan Singh Ji.
Addressing the students, staff and guests at the inaugural function on Friday, Revered Sant Sarwan Singh Ji, Chancellor, SBBSU,welcomed the students, staff and delegates to the Youth Festival. He congratulated the students, participants and dedicated organizing team members for showcasing their great energy, creativity and team work. Baba Janak Singh Ji also graced the occasion with his kind presence.
Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Vice-Chancellor, SBBSU appreciated the efforts of all event coordinators,Registrar, Dean Academics, all Deans, Directors, Heads and students of the University in presenting the culture and traditions of various states through colorful performances. He also briefed about the events held on Day-1 and wished success for the second day.

Gurinderpal Singh Josan, Chairman, Saragarhi Foundation, USA; Mr. Gurdeep Singh Perhar, Chairman Market Committee, Adampur; renowned philanthropist and social worker Mr. Jatinder Jay Minhas, Canada; International wrestler and Retd. Inspector S.Baaj Singh, who came to University Youth Festival YUVA 2022 on Day-2, it will not be an exaggeration to say that most of the renowned people from various fields were an integral part of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Youth Festival ‘YUVA 2022’.
The Guest of Honour of 2nd day of the Youth Festival, S. Sukhwinder Singh Kotli, MLA Adampur appreciated and highlighted the significant work in the field of education and development, being done by the Sant Baba Bhag Singh Educational Complex including Sant Baba Bhag Singh University for the welfare of rural and under-privilege people. He motivated the students to study passionately, work hard and make their dreams true for the welfare of the society.
S. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, MLA Phagwara (Guest of Honour)thanked the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University for the invitation. He recognized the efforts of the University management for providing quality education to the needy, economically weaker sections, and rural students in the vicinity of nature, away from the hustle-bustle of the cities. He cherished the meaningful, theme-based and gaudy performances presented by the students as well as the University for providing such platforms to the students to develop their skills.
The special guest of the day, S. Gurinderpal Singh Josan, Chairman, Saragarhi Foundation, USA acknowledged the Management and the University authorities for inviting him to the function. He briefed about the great battle of Saragarhi that held on 12.09.1897, where 21 Sikh soldiers of 36 Sikh regiment fought bravely with 10,000 Orakzai and AfridiAfgans. He motivated students to fulfill the dreams of their parents and toil for the country, with full dedication.
Padamshri IG Police S. Kartar Singh motivated the students in his address and acknowledged the SBBSU for conduct of such events and for providing quality education. Dr. Sandeep Randhawa and Dr. Nirmal Kaur, the Event Coordinators informed that about 400 students are going to participate in 8 competitions and each category have 7 teams. The students were all dressed up for the various competitions namely Solo Dance, Group Dance, Natti, Skit, Fancy Dress, Mimicry, and Mime. Apart from this, more than 100 students performed in non-competitive events.
The Day-2 of University Youth Festival YUVA-22 was concluded graciously with the divine blessings of the founder and first Chancellor of SBBSU, Revered Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji and second chancellor, Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), and under the patronage of present Chancellor of SBBSU, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and the esteemed management of the University and Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Vice-Chancellor, SBBSU.
