The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) serves as the statutory body and national-level council for technical education under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It functions as the apex authority responsible for the coordinated development, regulation, and proper planning of the technical education system across the country.
At Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, AICTE norms and guidelines are followed for programs offered under the Departments of Engineering and Technology, Management, Computer Applications, and Hotel Management and Catering Technology. These departments adhere to prescribed standards related to curriculum design, infrastructure, faculty strength, academic processes, and institutional governance to ensure quality technical and professional education.
AICTE ensures that the approved programs maintain quality benchmarks and remain aligned with national priorities and emerging industry requirements. Through periodic approvals, compliance mechanisms, and structured reporting systems, the council supports continuous improvement, skill development, and outcome-based education.
The council actively promotes innovation, industry–academia collaboration, entrepreneurship, digital learning, and inclusivity through various schemes and initiatives. These efforts enhance employability, practical exposure, and research orientation among students across all AICTE-approved disciplines.
We invite all stakeholders including students, faculty members, industry partners, and academic contributors to actively participate in strengthening technical and professional education and to contribute meaningfully to national development.
