Workshop Report

With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji and Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and the benign endorsement of Hon’ble Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (UIET), in collaboration with the Training and Placement Cell, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, organized an Workshop on “Hands-on Session on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.” Under the guidance of Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, and Dean UIET Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Kaur, successfully organized a Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics delivered by Coder Roots. The workshop commenced with an introductory session on Artificial Intelligence, where the speakers provided a comprehensive overview of AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, and real-world applications. Students were introduced to how AI is transforming industries such as healthcare, finance, automation, and cybersecurity. The session was highly interactive, allowing students to ask questions and relate theoretical knowledge with practical use cases. The speakers emphasized the importance of AI skills in the current technological landscape and encouraged students to explore research and development opportunities in this domain. Moving forward, the robotics segment of the workshop focused on the design, development, and working principles of modern robotic systems. Students were given a detailed explanation of sensors, actuators, and embedded systems used in robotics. Live demonstrations were conducted to showcase how robots operate in real-world scenarios, including automation tasks and intelligent decision-making processes. This hands-on exposure significantly enhanced students’ understanding and sparked their interest in building innovative robotic solutions. One of the most engaging parts of the workshop was the demonstration of real-life ethical hacking tools. The experts from Coder Roots provided insights into cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, explaining how ethical hackers identify and prevent cyber attacks. They demonstrated practical tools used in penetration testing, network scanning, and system security analysis. Students were able to witness how security loopholes can be exploited and how proper measures can be implemented to safeguard systems. This session not only increased awareness about cybersecurity but also highlighted career opportunities in ethical hacking and information security. The workshop also included hands-on activities where students actively participated in experimenting with basic AI models and robotics components. They were guided step-by-step to understand the implementation process, which helped in strengthening their practical skills. The collaborative learning environment encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation among participants. Overall, the workshop proved to be highly beneficial and informative. Students gained valuable insights into emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Cybersecurity. The combination of theoretical explanation and practical demonstration made the session engaging and impactful. The efforts of the Training and Placement Department, along with the guidance of Er. Manpreet Singh, played a crucial role in the success of the event. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the experts from Coder Roots for delivering an enriching learning experience. The event left a positive impact on students, motivating them to explore advanced technologies and prepare themselves for future industry challenges.
