The students of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department, UIET, participated in TECHNOVA 2026, a National Level Technical Competition held from 22 September to 24 September 2026 at Rayat Bahra University, Hoshiarpur.
A total of 7 teams comprising 27 students represented the institute in this prestigious event.
On the first day, students were accompanied by Er. Manpreet Singh.
The event began with the first round of project display and evaluation, where all seven teams presented their innovative projects before experts from relevant technical domains. The evaluation was based on innovation, feasibility, and technical implementation.
On the second day, students were accompanied by Er. Manpreet Singh.
In the second round, the students' projects were evaluated, and constructive feedback and suggestions were shared to help them further refine and improve their project ideas.
On the third day, students were accompanied by Er. Manpreet Singh.
The third round of evaluation was conducted by field experts, where the shortlisted teams were thoroughly assessed and the final judgment was made.
The TECHNOVA prize distribution ceremony was held on the same day, which also marked the inauguration day of Rayat Bahra University, Hoshiarpur.
It is a matter of great pride that Team Flux, comprising students from B.Tech CSE 5th and 7th Semester, secured the 3rd Prize at the National Level Competition. The team was awarded for their outstanding performance among the participating teams.
The award ceremony was conducted by Dean IQAC Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Mr. Rajesh Moza (Registrar), (Dr.) Gurjeet Singh (Director, University School of Computing & Engineering), Sonal Sood (Principal, Poly-Technical College, Rayat Bahra University), and Mr. Gagan Sharma (O7 Services).
All the participating students were encouraged and motivated by (Dr.) Palwinder Singh, Vice Chancellor (SBBSU), (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, Dean (UIET) and HOD (CSE), and the coordinators.
Following the achievement, the winning students were formally honored by the Vice Chancellor, Dean, and coordinating staff, including Er. Manpreet Singh. They appreciated the students' efforts and encouraged them to continue participating in such competitions and bring more laurels to the institute.

The participation and achievement at TECHNOVA 2026 reflect the students' dedication, creativity, technical skills, and commitment to innovation. The event provided valuable exposure to national-level technical competition and encouraged students to further develop their project ideas and technical capabilities.
