The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, UIET, SBBSU, celebrated World Technology Day on 12th May 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The event was organized by Er. Hitakshi in the Computer Lab with the objective of creating awareness about rapidly evolving technologies and encouraging students to explore the latest innovations in the field of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.

World Technology Day is celebrated to recognize the importance of technology in transforming society and improving human life. Keeping this vision in mind, the department organized a knowledge-sharing session in which students actively participated through presentations and discussions on modern technologies and AI-based tools that are shaping the future of industries, education, healthcare, communication, and research.

The event commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of technology in today’s digital era. Students were encouraged to explore new ideas, research emerging trends, and understand the practical applications of technological advancements in real-world scenarios.

During the event, students of B.Tech CSE AI & ML 4th Semester and B.Tech CSE 4th Semester delivered informative and interactive PowerPoint presentations on various topics related to Artificial Intelligence Tools and Latest Technologies.

PPT Presentations on AI Tools

Students Parneet Kaur, Sarabjot, and Jasvir Singh from B.Tech CSE AI & ML 4th Semester delivered detailed presentations on various AI tools and their applications. They discussed how AI-powered platforms are revolutionizing education, software development, automation, content generation, data analysis, and business operations. The presenters also explained the growing impact of Generative AI, virtual assistants, smart automation systems, and machine learning-based applications in everyday life.

The session provided valuable insights into how students and professionals can effectively utilize AI tools for improving productivity, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. The presenters demonstrated excellent communication skills and technical understanding during their presentations.

PPT Presentations on Latest Technologies

Students Karandeep Singh from B.Tech CSE AI & ML 4th Semester and Lovenish from B.Tech CSE 4th Semester presented informative PPTs on the topic of Latest Technologies. Their presentations covered emerging areas such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Blockchain Technology, Data Science, Smart Systems, and advancements in software and hardware technologies.

The presenters discussed how these technologies are influencing modern industries and creating new career opportunities for engineering students. They also highlighted the importance of continuous learning and skill development to keep pace with technological advancements.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively interacted during the sessions by asking questions and sharing their viewpoints. The presentations created a highly engaging and informative learning environment within the department.

The event was also attended by Er. Tejinder Kaur and Er. Ramanpreet Kaur, whose presence and encouragement motivated the students to participate confidently and enhance their technical knowledge.
