Highlights of the Events
Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, participated in the online awareness session under the UGC Chetna Series. Dr. Shobini Rajan, Deputy Director General (TB), Central TB Division, addressed the session as the keynote speaker, highlighting the critical role of Higher Education Institutions in realizing a TB-free India. The live interactive session was attended by 227 students along with faculty members.
Key Highlights from the Speaker’s Address
- On the basis of “UGC Chetna Series Special Lecture on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan: Creating Awareness for a TB-Free India” the Department of Allied Health Sciences participated in the online Special Lecture on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan on 25th Aug. 2026 at SBBSU, Jalhandar.
- The major goal of the Lecture was to provide awearness about Tuberculosis (TB), Transmission, Risk Factors & Health Impact on human being. National Initiatives TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan combines early detection and treatment with preventive strategies like (Swachhata), (Nasha Mukti) to protect immune health.
- Overall; the lecture was wrapped up on a successful note and Ni-kshay Mitra scheme- where individuals and schools adopt patients to provide essential nutrition and care- supported by digital tools like the TB Mukt Bharat App, Khushi e-Sangini, and official IEC awareness materials.
