Event Report
The University Institute of Law, under the aegis of IQAC, SBBSU and in collaboration with DLSA, organized The University Institute of Law, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized a LEGAL DRAFTINGWORKSHOP A Legal Drafting Workshop for Students was organized with the aim of developing practical legal writing and drafting skills among law students. The workshop focused on the importance of clarity, precision, and proper structure in legal documents. Students were introduced to the basic techniques of drafting legal notices, agreements, pleadings, affidavits, and other important legal documents. The sessions provided valuable insights into professional legal language and helped students understand the practical aspects of legal drafting.
This significant event was organized with the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Braham Ji), and under the constant motivation of Sant Baba ManMohan Singh Ji, Chancellor, SBBSU. The competition was held under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, the administrative support of Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder kumar, and the academic stewardship of Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, Dean Academics, who all played instrumental roles in shaping the success of this initiative.
The program was also conducted under the aegis of Organizing unit/agency collaborating agency: University Institute of law/UnderAegis of IQAC & District Legal Service Authority, Jalandhar/NSS, which enriched the event with its legal outreach and commitment to constitutional values. Their collaboration added further credibility and legal insight to the students’ artistic and intellectual efforts.
The event was coordinated under the able guidance of Dr. Pooja Bali, Dean, University Institute of Law, who served as the Convenor of the competition. Her unwavering dedication to promoting legal awareness and academic excellence was evident throughout the event.

On that day University Institute of Law organized Legal Awareness Camp on Right to Information at Community Centre , Village Khiala Distt. Jalandhar. The workshop was highly beneficial and interactive, allowing students to participate in drafting exercises and improve their analytical and writing abilities. The resource person shared practical knowledge and discussed common drafting mistakes along with ways to avoid them. The programme enhanced students’ confidence and prepared them to apply drafting skills effectively in their future legal careers.
The competition concluded with a reflective address from the dignitaries, appreciating the talent and social sensitivity exhibited by the participants. A heartfelt vote of thanks to Dr. Pooja Bali, Dean, University Institute of Law was extended to the management, organizing team, participating students, and the DLSA for their unwavering support in making the event a grand success.
