Report

Introduction

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) successfully organized an engaging event titled 'Create Logo with Generative AI'. The objective of the event was to introduce students to the practical applications of Generative AI and encourage them to use AI tools creatively for logo design. The session began with a welcome address followed by an introduction to Generative AI, prompt engineering, and the importance of writing effective prompts. Students actively interacted throughout the session and showed great enthusiasm.

Objectives

The event aimed to enhance creativity, improve prompt writing skills, create awareness about Generative AI tools, and encourage students to explore AI for solving real-world design problems.

Event Proceedings

After the introduction, participants were divided into teams and provided with different company or school names along with a logo shape. Instead of receiving complete prompts, students created their own prompts using their imagination and understanding of AI. They generated multiple logo designs, refined the outputs, and learned how changing prompts affects the final result. Organizers guided participants whenever required and explained how AI interprets user instructions.

The judges carefully observed every team's creativity, originality, prompt quality, colour selection, relevance of design, and presentation skills. Participants confidently presented their logos and explained the ideas behind their designs. The interactive nature of the competition created an enjoyable learning environment and encouraged students to think creatively.

Round Details

  • Round 1: Twenty-seven students participated. After evaluation, Himani, Nitika, Ritika, Samriti, Nitin, Vikas, Shivansh and Shalu qualified for the final round.
  • Round 2: Finalists designed improved AI-generated logos and presented them before the judges.

Winners

  • First Position: Ritika (B.Tech CSE AI & ML)
  • Second Position: Vikas Bhardwaj (B.Tech CSE AI & ML)
  • Third Position: Shivansh (B.Tech Civil Engineering)

Outcome

The event helped students understand the fundamentals of Generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted logo creation. It enhanced creative thinking, teamwork, presentation skills, and confidence in using AI tools for practical applications.

Conclusion

The event concluded successfully with active participation and positive feedback from students and judges. It provided an excellent platform to explore the creative capabilities of Generative AI while developing valuable technical and communication skills. The department looks forward to organizing more such innovative events in the future.
