Activity Report
A one-day historical and religious trip was organized on 18 February 2026 for the students with the aim of providing spiritual exposure, cultural awareness, and a refreshing break from their academic routine. The visit was planned to two renowned pilgrimage sites: Mata Baglamukhi Temple and Mata Chintpurni Temple in Himachal Pradesh.
A total of 108 students, including 58 girls and 50 boys, enthusiastically participated in the trip. The journey was conducted smoothly under the supervision and guidance of faculty members and staff. The trip charges were collected from students, and the amount was judiciously utilized to cover bus fare and refreshments provided during the journey.
The primary objectives of organizing this religious and historical visit were:
The group departed from the university campus early in the morning on 18 February 2026. The journey began with great enthusiasm and discipline. To ensure students’ comfort, sandwiches were provided as breakfast, and cold drinks were distributed during the travel to Mata Baglamukhi Ji.
The atmosphere throughout the bus journey was devotional and joyful. Students sang bhajans, shared conversations, and enjoyed the scenic beauty during travel.
Upon reaching Mata Baglamukhi Temple, the students and faculty members offered prayers to Goddess Baglamukhi and sought her divine blessings. The temple, known for its strong spiritual aura and religious importance, provided a peaceful and sacred environment for all devotees.
Students were informed about the historical background of the temple and its significance in Hindu mythology. The visit enhanced their understanding of India’s rich religious heritage. After darshan and prayer, the group participated in the sacred Langar, experiencing the spirit of equality and devotion.
After completing the visit to Mata Baglamukhi Temple, the group departed at approximately 1:30 PM for Mata Chintpurni Ji. Upon arrival, students and staff again offered prayers and received blessings from Mata Chintpurni.
The visit filled everyone with spiritual peace and positivity. Students expressed immense joy and devotion during darshan. Afterward, snacks such as Lays, Kurkure, popcorn, and other refreshment packets were distributed among the students.
On the return journey, the group stopped at a Gurudwara Sahib, where all participants partook in Langar, embracing the values of seva (selfless service), equality, and gratitude.
The group safely reached the university campus by evening, marking the successful completion of the one-day trip.
The divine blessings of Mata Rani are believed to guide students toward excellence in academics and personal life.
The department expresses heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, Dean UIET, for her constant guidance and encouragement in organizing such meaningful activities.
Special appreciation is extended to the Event Coordinators, Er. Ramanpreet Kaur and Er. Hitakshi, for their dedicated planning and smooth execution of the trip. Sincere thanks to Er. Manpreet Singh and Mr. Gurpreet Singh for their valuable support and supervision throughout the journey.
The cooperation and disciplined behavior of all 108 students also contributed significantly to the success of the trip.
The one-day historical and religious trip to Mata Baglamukhi Temple and Mata Chintapurni Temple was a spiritually enriching and memorable experience for everyone involved. It successfully combined devotion, cultural learning, and enjoyment in a well-organized manner.
The trip strengthened faith, unity, and positivity among students while offering them a refreshing break from academic responsibilities. Such initiatives play an important role in the holistic development of students by nurturing both intellectual and spiritual growth.
