With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Malkit Singh and Sant Baba Dilawar Singh, and the benign endorsement of the Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh, under the able guidance of the worthy Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Vijay Dhir, and the constant support of Respected Dean UIS Dr Indu Sharma& HOD Dr. Honey Sharma the Department of Physical Sciences, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized an Expert Talk on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Research: Power, Responsibility, and Impact” on February 5, 2026, in Seminar Hall, Block 5 at 11:00 AM onwards.

The program was successfully organized under the dedicated coordination and leadership of Dr. Sonia (Activity Incharge).

The Resource Person for the expert talk was Dr. Nisha Sharma, Director (R&D), SBBSU, who delivered an insightful and intellectually stimulating lecture. She elaborated on:

• The transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in research
• Ethical considerations and responsible usage of AI tools
• Emerging challenges and future prospects of AI in academia

The session was highly interactive, with active participation from students and faculty members. The question–answer segment provided clarity on AI-driven research tools, issues of plagiarism, data privacy, research ethics, and the responsible integration of AI into academic work.

The event effectively fulfilled its objective of enhancing awareness about Artificial Intelligence, strengthening critical thinking, and promoting ethical responsibility in research
