Workshop on “Industrial Process Control using Factory I/O”

Number of students participated in such activities: 35

• Deptt of Electrical Enginering, UIET, SBBSU, organized a workshop on Industrial Process Control using Factory I/O” in collaboration with Wonder Automation Training Division, Mohali on 31^st March, 2026.
• The resource persons were Mr. Ravi Kumar and Ms. Antali (Industrial Technical Expert).
• A total of 35 students of ME an EE department attended the workshop.
• Participants were introduced to the S7-Micro/win software.
• Logic gates including AND, OR, NOT, NAND NOR were implemented through ladder logic programming using Siemens S7-200 (CPU-ST20) PLC.
• Furthermore, hardware implementation of the logic gates was done using NO and NC switches.
• The workshop was a wonderful learning experience for all the attendees.
