Introduction
An extension activity titled “The Uses and Misuses of Mobile Phones and Internet” was organized by Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, on 6th May 2025 at Bhai Gurdas Public School, Kalra. The purpose of the activity was to educate students and the local community on the dual nature of mobile phones and internet usage in the modern era.
Objective
- To spread awareness among students regarding the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones and the internet.
- To promote responsible and informed use of digital technology.
- To prevent cyber bullying, screen addiction, and data privacy issues among young users.
- To encourage positive uses such as online education, digital banking, and global connectivity.
Program Details
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by the Principal of Bhai Gurdas Public School. Faculty members from Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, including experts from the Department of Computer Science and Applications, led the sessions.
