The Hotel Management Department of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, organized an industrial visit to Courtyard by Marriott, Amritsar, on 06 April 2026 for the students of BHMCT 2nd Semester. This visit was arranged to provide practical exposure to students regarding hotel operations, departmental coordination, guest service standards, and the overall working environment of a reputed hospitality organization.

The main purpose of the visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical industry experience. Through this visit, students were able to understand the functioning of various departments and gain knowledge about professional standards followed in the hospitality sector.

Objectives of the Visit

  • To provide practical exposure to students regarding hotel management operations.
  • To help students understand the working of different departments in a star-category hotel.
  • To observe professional grooming, communication, and guest handling skills.
  • To familiarize students with modern hospitality practices and service standards.

Overview of the Visit

During the industrial visit, the students were welcomed by the hotel staff and were given an introduction to the property, its services, and its organizational structure. The officials explained the importance of maintaining quality service, hygiene, discipline, and customer satisfaction in hotel operations.

The students visited important departments of the hotel such as:
