Under the aegis of IQAC&IIC, Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) along with Department of Physical Sciences University Institute of Sciences, SBBSU organized a poster making competition on a theme Prevention of Harassment against Women in Higher Education Institute at 11.00 AM onwards in room No.307, Block 5, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University.
- The aim of the activity was to spread awareness about the prevention of harassment against women in higher education institutes and to promote a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
- The theme of the competition highlighted the importance of equality, dignity, and respect for women in educational institutions.
- The event was inaugurated with a brief introduction by the Co-Convenor (Ms. Arwinder Kaur and Dr. Sonia) who emphasized the need to create awareness about this important issue.
- Activity in-charges, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur and Ms. Simrandeep Kaur, briefed the students on the rules and guidelines of the competition prior to the commencement of the poster-making activity.
- While students were allowed to participate in groups of up to three members, some students also chose to create their posters individually.
- Students enthusiastically participated in the poster making competition and expressed their ideas through creative drawings, slogans, and messages.
- Students used colors, charts, and innovative designs to present their thoughts and spread awareness among their peers.
- Many posters included powerful slogans promoting respect, safety, and equality for women in educational spaces.
- Students presented thoughtful and creative posters highlighting the importance of respect, equality, and safety for women on campus.
- A total of 46 students of physical sciences department attended the activity.
- Each poster was evaluated thoroughly by the judges (Ms. Insha and Ms. Parminder), and the judges was engaged with the students to learn about the inspiration and thought process behind their designs.
- Judges of the event (Ms. Insha and Ms. Parminder), Dr. Mithu Maiti Jana (Convener), Dr. Honey Sharma (Convener) along with the staff members proudly handed over the prizes and certificates to the students who secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.
- The event concluded successfully with vote of thanks by Dr. Mithu Maiti Jana (Convener) and Dr. Honey Sharma (Convener).
