Developing Pedagogical Skills through Microteaching in Science

An activity based upon the execution of microteaching skills in science was organised by the Science Club of Department of Education, UIE with an aim of developing sound pedagogical skills among prospective teachers of science discipline. The activity was organised under the supervision of Mr. Anmol Preet Pal Singh, Assistant Professor and Faculty Coordinator of Science Club, UIE. Students of science pedagogy from B.Ed. 2 nd semester & M.Ed. 2 nd Semester were involved in the planning, organization and execution of the activity. The activity focussed upon the development of the skill of explanation. Students prepared and presented micro lesson plans on topics such as sound, gravitation, working of d.c. motor etc. Few glimpses of the activity have been shared.
