Har Ghar Tiranga — Extension Activity Report

Organized by UIET, CSE Department

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), UIET, participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to instill patriotism and spread awareness about the dignity of the National Flag. The activity was carried out in two phases—on campus and within the local community.

Phase I: Campus Rally in SBBSU

Students and faculty of the CSE Department organized a patriotic rally within the SBBSU campus. Carrying the Tiranga, participants raised slogans of unity and national pride, while student volunteers highlighted the significance of the Tricolour and the vision of the campaign.

Phase II: Flag Distribution in Schools & Local Community

Teams visited local schools, shops, the police station, and public areas to distribute the National Flag. Along with distribution, awareness was spread on respectful hoisting and care of the flag. The initiative received a warm response from school children, shopkeepers, and the general public.

Outcomes

• Strengthened the spirit of nationalism among students and citizens.
• Enhanced awareness of the campaign and flag etiquette.
• Fostered stronger university–community engagement.
• Motivated households and workplaces to proudly display the National Flag.

Conclusion

The extension activity by UIET, CSE Department, successfully celebrated patriotism on campus and extended its impact to the broader community, nurturing responsible citizenship and pride in the National Flag.
