Activity Report
Just as trees purify the air, positive actions purify the mind. A healthy environment nurtures a healthy life—let’s plant hope, grow strength, and stay free from addiction.
With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji and Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), and with the benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji, this event was organized under the guidance of worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, and Dean of UIET and UICAIS Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Kaur. The Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) Department organized an extension activity on drug addiction awareness under the Nasha Mukt Punjab initiative at Govt. Senior Secondary School, Ajram. The primary goal of this event was to educate students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and encourage a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. As part of the awareness campaign, faculty members and students delivered insightful lectures highlighting the consequences of substance abuse and the importance of mental and physical well-being. Mr. Gurpreet Singh (Lab Technician) and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur (Lab Technician) actively participated in the session, guiding students on how to stay away from drug addiction. A total of 11 students joined this noble cause. Additionally, a plantation drive was conducted, symbolizing a fresh start and promoting a healthy environment. Trees not only provide oxygen but also generate positive energy, which helps in fostering a peaceful and drug-free mindset. The idea behind this initiative was to emphasize that just as trees purify the air, they also contribute to mental well-being, keeping individuals away from negative influences like drug addiction. The event was a great success, inspiring students to make responsible choices and contribute to a Nasha Mukt Punjab.
