Extension Activity
With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji and Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), and with the benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji, this event was organized under the guidance of worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, and Dean of UIET Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Kaur. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized an extension activity at the School of Eminence, Adampur, on the topic Drug Awareness. The aim of the program was to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, ways to resist peer pressure, and the importance of making healthy life choices. The session featured Nancy and Anchal, B.Tech 3rd semester students, who delivered an insightful and interactive lecture on the dangers of drug use and addiction. They highlighted the physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse and discussed preventive measures to help students stay drug-free. Their presentation also focused on building confidence, promoting healthy habits, and seeking help in case of any substance-related issues. The event concluded with Shri Ram Asra, Principal of the School of Eminence and Adampur Block Nodal Officer, sharing his thoughts on the critical need for awareness among youth to combat drug abuse. He appreciated the efforts of the CSE Department and the participating students for organizing such a meaningful session. He also delivered the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the speakers and all contributors for their active participation in making the program successful. Overall, the activity was informative, motivational, and impactful, encouraging students to lead a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free life.
